Maryland, battling through injuries, fell to top-ranked UCLA 82-67. Saylor Poffenbarger led the Terrapins with 18 points and 4 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a dominant performance by UCLA’s junior center Lauren Betts, who scored a career-high 33 points on an impressive 14-of-15 shooting. Sophomore guard Kiki Rice, a former Sidwell Friends standout, contributed across the board with 19 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals to help the Bruins secure the victory.
